A Note to Our Readers and Followers
You may have heard or read that Mobile Mask has been sold to Lagniappe.
  It's true.
Mrs. Mask and I have had the ride of a lifetime creating Mobile Mask and making it THE go-to place for information about Mardi Gras in south Alabama. We feel like we have earned a reputation for being thorough and CORRECT, especially in the ocean of rumors that is social media.
But we also felt like we had taken the Mask as far as we could, so we found a place with more people and resources than we had but the same commitment to getting good stories and getting them right.
Mardi Gras 2025 was our last as the small machine that is Mobile Mask. We went out there and had some fun and brought back lots of photos and video for you to enjoy.
We were so grateful that so many of you shared kind words with us on our farewell tour. We will never forget this amazing experience.
And we look forward, as we hope you do, to see just what Lagniappe does with Mobile Mask. We know it will be great!

Our Coverage of Mardi Gras
Mobile Mask covers as many area Mardi Gras parades and events as we can. When we say "cover," we mean photograph or video or both and sometimes write little stories.
We do cover nearly every downtown Mobile parade. But it's tough for us to be in two places at once, so we do miss some events.
Click on "Parading Groups" in the column on the left, then click on the group you're interested in, and you'll land on our page for that group. There, you'll find links to the latest photos and videos, once they've been posted.
And check the Mobile Mask Facebook page. Usually when we cover kids parades, for example, we post an album of photos there.
Mobile Mask is the only place where you can see virtually the entire parade with photos or video.

The Best of Our Mardi Gras Coverage
Mobile Mask covers more than 50 Mardi Gras parades and events every year. We shoot thousands of photos - nowadays it's a lot more than 10,000 every Carnival season. From that, we post more than 2,000 photos every year.
From all of that, we choose between 100 and 200 Best Of photos every year.
We also shoot HD video of most of the parades and post them on our YouTube channel. Over the last several years, we have made Best Of videos.

2025 Issue Still Available
You can't order the 2025 issue through this website any longer, but you can still find it at a couple of area stores.
Usually, we post a list of those stores, but it's pretty easy this year: Toomey's or Pop's Midtown or the Carnival Museum Gift Shop. Those are the only places you can still find it.
Work has already started on the 2026 issue of Mobile Mask magazine, and it will officially go on sale January 6, 2026.
If you'd like to advertise in the magazine, send an email to editor@mobilemask.com.
