Krewe du Cirque

In Foley, the Krewe du Cirque, which formed in 2017, held one Mardi Gras ball and participated in the Foley Mardi Gras Parade. The next year, the group held its own Mardi Gras parade in conjunction with the OWA entertainment complex.

The 2022 parade will roll on Joe Cain Day, Sunday, February 27, at 6 p.m. The route will be on the OWA property but not in the amusement park, so paying admission will not be necessary to see the parade.

The KDC President has made it clear that their events would not interfere with the Foley Parade.

A non-mystic, co-ed organization, Krewe du Cirque is also becoming known for its big Halloween costume bash as well as its Miss Mardi Gras Pageant.

One thing to look for at the Mardi Grasparade is one of KDC’s hand-decorated wooden eggs – already a sought-after Mardi Gras throw. “We were surprised,” the President said. “We didn’t really advertise the eggs, but people were out there begging for eggs” at the Foley Parade.
