The Incas formed in 1956 and held their first ball in 1957, but they did not parade until 1975.

Nowadays, it's hard to imagine Mobile Mardi Gras without the group's floats of ancient Incan temples or its distinctive emblem beads and doubloons.

It's said that the Incas were the first to bring the throw cup to Mobile Mardi Gras during the 1983 parade. Now cups are a staple throw among beads and Moon Pies.

This year, the Incas paraded on February 2 at 6:30 p.m. Their theme was Parading Through the Decades, and the parade included 14 floats by The Royal Artists and two floats rented from the Conde Cavaliers.
