The Prichard Mardi Gras Association is the original royal court in Prichard and has its own king and queen. According to the group's history, it began as a mystic society named Copphasa (pronounced co-fa-sa). The first parade was held February 3, 1978, and included five floats.

The name was later changed to the Prichard Mardi Gras Association, and its first coronation was held in 1979.

The PMGA's royal court is made up of students from public and private schools in Mobile County. This year's Queen is Hannah Milsap.

This year, the Prichard Mardi Gras Association paraded on Saturday, February 22, at 10 a.m. The parade included 10 floats.
